⚠️SAFETY WARNING / ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL RISK. This device is equipped with rotating blades and a high-voltage lithium battery pack. Improper intervention during disassembly can cause severe cuts, short circuits with irreversible cell damage, or dangerous electric shocks. Intervention requires specific skills: the assistance of a qualified technician is strongly recommended. ReeFix provides this diagnosis EXCLUSIVELY for educational and informational purposes.
Counter-examples: If the charging station LED is solid green and the wire resistance is <10 Ohm, the problem is almost certainly with the robot.
Quick Checks:
Sensor Cleaning: Thoroughly clean the inductive sensors located on the underside of the robot. Accumulations of grass, dirt, or debris can prevent the correct detection of the boundary wire's magnetic field.
Reset/Restart: Try a complete robot restart (power off, remove battery for a few minutes, power on). Sometimes, simple software glitches can cause temporary errors.
GPS (if applicable): If the robot reports a "GPS fault", check for any obvious obstructions above the robot or in the cutting area that might block the satellite signal. This is less frequent as a primary cause of "wire error".
Output for technician: If the boundary wire and charging station have been verified as functional, a technician will need to open the robot. They will inspect the inductive sensors for physical damage, test the Worx Landroid M500 GPS Module, and, as a last resort, the Worx Landroid M500 Main Board for defects. Replacing these internal components is complex and costly.
FINAL CHECK
If the boundary wire resistance is greater than 10 Ohm or the charging station LED is red/flashing, proceed with wire repair; otherwise, if the problem persists after sensor cleaning, consult a technician for an internal diagnosis or consider replacement if the repair cost (main board/GPS) exceeds 50-60% of the value of a new Worx Landroid M500.
